CHAPTER PRESIDENT

Lady J. Allison Riley

Hello and welcome to the Dale City – Prince William County Chapter of Top Ladies of Distinction (TLOD), Inc. Our organization consists of ladies with a heart to serve and teenagers between the ages of 13-18. Our teens are called Top Teens of America and they serve our communities hand in hand with the ladies.

This year marks a momentous occasion in the history of our chapter as we will celebrate our 15th anniversary. Our chapter was chartered on September 13, 2008, and as we continue to embark on our journey with a shared vision to make a positive difference in the lives of those we serve, we are humbled to have grown into a formidable force for good, impacting countless lives, and leaving a legacy of compassion, dedication, and unwavering commitment. We offer scholarships to deserving high school graduates in both our chapter andour community. The Pauline E Hunter Scholarship (named after our chapter Organizer) is awarded each year to teens within our chapter and The Blue and Silver Community Service Trunk Scholarship is awarded to graduates in our communities.

Reflecting through our collective efforts, we remain humbled by the tremendous impact we have made in our communities, we have supported those in need, championed noble causes, and provided hope to the marginalized and vulnerable. It is a testament to the strength of our organization and the boundless compassion of our chapter members, including Ladies and Teens.

Serving others through volunteerism is what TLOD is all about and have been doing so since 1964 when our organization was established in Tyler Texas by eight (8) beautiful enthusiastic ladies. We are a 501 (c) non-profit organization with 5 major programs: Top Teens of America, Status of Women, Senior Citizens, Community Beautification and Community Partnerships. Additionally, we advocate in an exemplary manner for our five national projects, National Association for Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), National Council of Negro Women, Inc. (NCNW), United Negro College Fund (UNCF), Sickle Cell Disease Association of America, and Literacy. We also have partnerships with Keep America Beautiful, Black Women’s Agenda, St. Jude, March of Dimes, American Heart Association and Alzheimer’s Walk. Please join us by participating in our scheduled events as we serve our surrounding communities. We encourage you to become a member of our dynamic chapter, where we Strengthen Our Bonds through Sisterhood and Supreme Service.
